Free download
Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit) · No install — unzip and run
If VidCut saved you some time, consider buying me a coffee. It helps keep it free and ad-free.
Built for making product-page GIFs and short clips: only the tools you actually need. Skip the heavy editor — cut out the part you want and save it.
What it does
Cut rangesDrag on the timeline or press I/O to set start and end. Queue several ranges and save them all, or join them into one file.
CropDrag on the preview to keep only the area you want. Each range can have its own crop.
0.25 – 4× speedAudio speeds up or slows down with it, and the pitch stays natural.
Platform ratiosPick Shorts/Reels/TikTok (9:16), Instagram feed (4:5, 1:1) or YouTube (16:9) and the ratio and recommended size are set for you.
Many formatsSave as MP4, MKV, WebM, GIF or MP3 (audio only). Opens most video formats.
Fast lossless savingWhen you only cut, nothing is re-encoded — it saves in seconds at original quality.
Using it with GIFsize
- Cut the part you need in VidCut, add crop or speed if you like, and save it as MP4.
- Drop it into GIFsize, set the size limit of where it’s going (e.g. 10MB), and it becomes a GIF that fits.
For short clips you can trim, crop and change speed right inside GIFsize. VidCut is handy for picking several sections out of a long video, or when you want to keep the edited video itself.
